Orr managed the expansion and extension of this pier to receive submarine modules from other shipyards via a new Ocean Transport Barge. The new pier also provides a
permanent heavy weather berth for submarines. The new deck structure was built to support the full load of the submarine modules and the strongbacks. It also supports mobile crane and fork truck operations for OTB operations. Orr managed the challenging utility coordination for the additional needs of the pier to
ensure on time and on schedule delivery.
