Orr is managing the entitlements, dredging, demolition, design, and construction for new Wet Berths at the Groton shipyard to support submarine manufacturing activities on the Thames River. The two new piers are 700’ x 75’ and each will provide two berths. Each
pier will have a portal crane to perform lifts. The project also included demolishing the existing timber piers, dredging, waterfront improvements, and landside and utility work. Orr is coordinating all these activities on the active shipyard campus and river.
